The launch of two new index funds by Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund aims to benefit from the combination of active stock selection with the low cost of index investing. On this launch, the asset manager expresses his views by saying that the dual launches will strengthen its passive investment portfolio, because both of the index funds use a quantitative and rule-based strategy.
The BSE 500 Momentum 50 Index Fund will invest in the strongest momentum in the top 50 stocks of the BSE 500. To capture the changing market trends, the Index Mutual Funds will review and rebalance the stocks quarterly. The fund is tailored for investors with a higher risk tolerance and who want to take advantage of the trending stocks and sectors.
The BSE 500 Quality 50 Index Fund selects 50 companies from the BSE 500 with stable returns, high equity returns and lower debt returns. A strict standard is followed by this index fund to filter the businesses that are financially strong. The main aim of this mutual fund is to offer stable growth and lower volatility, which makes it appropriate for building long-term wealth.

The investors can go and visit the official website of AMC, distributors or online platforms to apply as the NFOs (New Fund Offer) will be opened from 21 July to 4 August for subscription.
Both mutual funds are available for investment via SIP, allowing investors to start with small and regular contributions. SIP investments make it easier to build wealth gradually and benefit from long-term compounding and rupee cost averaging.
