Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath has bought a 5% share in D'YAVOL Spirits, a luxury alcohol brand started by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan.
This is Kamath's first big step into the high-end alcohol market, adding to his growing list of investments in lifestyle and consumer brands.
The deal is part of a bigger partnership with Radico Khaitan Limited, one of India's top liquor companies. Radico Khaitan has purchased nearly half (47.5%) of D'YAVOL Spirits for up to Rs 40 crore, making it the largest shareholder. They will also get two out of four board seats in the company and the right to choose its chairperson.

D'YAVOL Spirits Purpose
D'YAVOL Spirits' purpose is to make top-quality, globally sourced drinks with stylish designs and a touch of cultural flair. The first product to hit the shelves will be a luxury tequila, which is expected in the next few months. With Radico Khaitan's strong manufacturing and distribution network, plus Shah Rukh Khan's massive star power, the brand is aiming for both the Indian and international markets.
Kamath, known for shaking things up in the finance world, brings fresh energy to the project. His move also shows how big investors are betting on India's booming luxury market.

Radico Khaitan's stock closed at Rs 2,882.60 on Tuesday, up 1.04%, showing investors are excited about its premium portfolio growth.
