Assembly Election Results 2018: What Is Seen in the Market?

The assembly election result for the five major states was scheduled to be declared today. This include Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madya Pradesh, Mizoram, and Telangana. After nearly a month-long voting process, the results will declare the fate of around 8,472 candidates who are in the fray. The counting of the votes started earlier around 8 am today. Find out what all was seen in the market and which party will lead its chances of winning.

The Fight of Congress and BJP

The Congress and BJP were seen head to head, both contesting against each other in the three states- Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, the Congress is banking on anti-incumbency to form its government in the state against the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

Again after being out of power for 15 straight years in MP, the Congress is willing to have a major comeback in the state as well and install its government. The election result is somewhat based on the kind of work done by the Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

In Chhattisgarh, Ajit Jogi, the Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) chief and former chief minister, is looking forward to returning to power. He has even teamed up with BSP’s Mayawati to dethrone Bhartiya Janata Party and its incumbent Chief minister Raman Singh in the state.

Telangana, the newly born state, K Chandrashekar Rao of the Telangan Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is banking on his gamble to call an early election in the state to return.

Coming to the last contestant, Mizoram, here too the Congress is hoping to hold on to the power where it is one of the last few states where it governs.

Will There Be Any Impact of Today’s Election Results on 2019 Lok Sabha Polls?

Well of course, the election results today and particularly of the assembly results in the coming time will set the tone for the upcoming general elections 2019. However, there are slim chances of congress winning the General Elections 2019 and Rahul Gandhi becoming the Prime Minister of the country, predicted several market experts.

The Final Words

Going with the current poll results and other market updates, a close fight is predicted between the two major parties. Congress is set to take Chhattisgarh and is ahead of BJP in Rajasthan as well. However, nothing is yet clear even from the trends. To get the best report, stay tuned for our next report coming up on the result and its effect on the market.
