Gautam Adani, who is the founder and chairman of the Adani Group has now become the richest person in Asia. He recently surpassed Mukesh Ambani, who is the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries.
This shift happened after a surge in Adani Group stocks. As per the Bloomberg Billionaires index, Adani’s net worth is currently at around $92.6 billion, and Adani’s net worth stands at around $90.8 billion. Both of the Indian billionaires are among the top 20 richest people in the world.
The companies of Adani Group saw gains in trading, and the shares of Adani Power rose around 1%. The Adani Total Gas climbed over 2%, Adani Green Energy adding 0.44%, and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone increased by about 1.6%. Several other group firms also traded higher.
However, these rankings are mainly fluid because they depend on the performance of the stock market and the conditions of the business. Hence, the position can change with the movement of the market.
The Adani Group operate across infrastructure, energy, and logistics. Reliance Industries has strong interests in energy, telecom, and retail.
